About Us
Young Discoverers Pre-School has an excellent reputation for child care gained from 27 years provision in our local community.
Young Discoverers is a nurturing pre-school located close to the town centre, in our purpose built Early Years Centre within the landscaped grounds of South Hill Centre campus. Providing excellent outside play, woodland play and learning opportunities.
Young Discoverers offers high quality learning experiences for children from the term after their 2nd birthday until they start school. Our sessions run from 9.00am – 12.00pm and 12.30pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday during term time. We offer an open catchment policy and are recognised for our commitment to diversity and special educational needs.
We are a highly qualified staff team and maintain regulatory ratio of staff to children. As a registered child care provider we are regularly inspected by Ofsted and received a ‘Good’ grade in all areas at our last inspection.
We received our third Herts Quality Standard Certificate in March 2014, particular reference was made to our "strong leadership, effective teamwork and on-going self-evaluation ensure good quality in the provision." We are also members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
